Folklore tour, Claremorris, Co.Mayo

The town of Clarmorris is located beside the tranquil lake of Clare Lake and Land of the Giants. In the recent past, the area around the lake has being totally revamped and it is now one of the most scenic settings including Crock Patrick, and has a massive amount of fish.

Along with new design, it now  includes fariy forest, a tree for children to leave their pasaviver, giant items in an area for children. Clare Lake has had two walkways around the lake. This is a 1.9 km route with amazing views visible from the bridge which looks onto the lake on the Westport side. Many holiday tourists and local residents take walks for exercise or for just a family walk..

there is also a good size car park that visitors can use which is situated at the entrance to Lough Lannagh. The lake itself is home to so many species of fish, birds, swans and ducks that live on the lake shore.

The Lough Lannagh walks are also home to various wildlife. Castlebar Town Centre is just a short walk from the entrance of Lough Lannagh. Westport is only 20 drive from the lake, and Achill Island are just a 40 minute drive from the lake.

There are also different modes of transport available from Castlebar to Westport, and  Achill. All have connections to Galway City.
